Rockwool RW3 which until February 2015 was previously known as ProRox SL930 is a flexible, semi-rigid, high quality resin bonded Rockwool insulation Slab that can be used for thermal, acoustic and fire insulation.

Where and how to use RW3:

Most commonly used when the reduction of noise is required. Rockwool RW3 is perfect for partition walls and floors to help stop airborne sound. It is also used to insulate roofs and boiler rooms.

Being a semi-rigid product, Rockwool slabs are easy to cut with a sharp knife and can be friction fitted in between joists, rafters or timber battens to completely fill the voids and therefore stop air and flow and absorb sound.

Other specifications:

Handy sized 1200 x 600mm slabs have a density of 60 kg/m3. Lower density, 45 kg/m3 RWA45 slabs are also available on our website. Higher density slabs ranging from 80kg -140 kg/m3, along with tissue and foil faced alternatives are available for higher specification applications.
