Acoustic plasterboard 15mm is resistant to sound due to the extra weight and higher density core.

Designed for use in walls and ceilings where greater levels of sound insulation are required. Sound resistant plasterboards are often used as part of a full partitioning system along with different types of insulation such as Rockwool mineral wool when further noise reduction is needed.

Also known as Soundbloc, Soundshield, Sound Panel, dB Plasterboard and 15mm Sound Block Plasterboard.

Blue face on one side to identify sheets correctly. Sheets have a thermal conductivity 0.24W/mK.

Sound Plasterboard use

Boards such as 2400 x 1200 Knauf Soundshield Plus are widely used in both residential and commercial construction. They are perfect for dividing walls and ceilings when the transfer of noise is a potential problem.

Sound Deadening Plasterboard wall

Sound Reducing Plasterboards are most commonly used on studs walls in homes, apartments, and commercial spaces to create quieter and more comfortable environments. Studs are formed using metal systems or timber such as CLS.

Sound Deadening Plasterboard ceiling

Gyproc Soundbloc Plasterboard is suitable for both flat and sloped ceilings. It can be used as a base layer for plastering or decoration, or integrated into a full ceiling system when a fire rating,insulation and soundproofing are required. To reduce ceiling height, consider the MF Ceiling system.
