Square Edge Fireproof Plasterboard FAQ:
Why square edge fireline plasterboard 12.5mm?
Fireboard with a square edge offers a cost-effective solution for wall finishing. Usaully a wet plaster finish would be applied but if the overall look doesn't need to be of a high finished standard, boards can be left uncovered.
How to finish fire resistant plasterboard
If you're not using the drylining method as described above, you'll need to wet plaster the entire surface. Before starting, ensure all the joints have all been covered with Self Adhesive Scrim which will reduce the risk of joints forming cracks. The surface is then plastered using products such as Thistle Multi Finish.
