Moisture Proof Plasterboard 12.5mm S/E

Often referred to as 12.5 Moisture Resistant Plasterboard, Knauf Moisture Panel, Waterproof Plasterboard, Green Plasterboard, or Gyproc Moisture Resistant Board, is a 12.5mm thick solution for moisture-proofing rooms such as bathrooms and kitchens. Moisture board plasterboard is manufactured with special additives that repel water and prevent it from being absorbed into the core of the board. This helps to prevent the board from becoming damaged or weakened by moisture.

Green face on one side to identify sheets correctly. Sheets have a thermal conductivity 0.25W/mK.

Why square edge moisture panel plasterboard 12.5mm?

Moisture plasterboards with a square edge are usually used when the drywall tape and joint system aren't required. The edges are butt-jointed and then taped with a Self Adhesive Scrim Tape prior to plastering. As plastering is a highly skilled craft, it is recommended that professional plasterers are used for this job.

Other things to consider when using green plasterboard

It is important to note that while moisture resistant plasterboard is designed to withstand high humidity and moisture, it is not waterproof. In areas that are regularly exposed to water, such as shower enclosures, it is recommended to use a waterproof or tanking system in addition to moisture resistant plasterboard.
