Knauf Earthwool® DriTherm Cavity Insulation
Earthwool® DriTherm Cavity Slabs are semi-rigid or rigid slabs of non-combustible, glass mineral wool insulation with a water-repellent additive. They are 455mm wide to suit standard vertical wall tie spacings, ensuring a closed joint with adjacent slabs. These slabs knit together therefore eliminating possible air gaps and cold-bridging.
ECOSE® Technology
All Knauf Insulation mineral wool products benefit from a revolutionary, bio-based, formaldehyde-free binder technology, based on rapidly renewable materials, instead of petro-based chemicals. Performance
Earthwool® DriTherm Cavity Slabs represents no known threat to the environment and has zero Ozone Depletion Potential and zero Global Warming Potential.
Depending on the grade selected, Earthwool DriTherm Cavity Slabs have thermal conductivities ranging from 0.032 (DriTherm 32 Ultimate) to 0.037 W/mK (DriTherm 37 Standard). These coupled with a Euroclass A1 to BS EN 13501-1 fire rating ensure that good performance levels are reached without breaking the bank.
Applications
Earthwool® DriTherm Cavity Slabs are for the thermal insulation of masonry cavity external walls and are installed to fully fill the cavity. They are approved for use in buildings up to 12m high in any exposure zone and for use in multi-storey applications up to 25m in height.
