1200 x 455mm Knauf Earthwool® DriTherm Cavity Slab - Standard 37. Partial or full fill cavity wall insulation

Knauf Earthwool DriTherm Cavity Slab Standard 37 is a water-repellent, non-combustible, and odourless glass mineral wool insulation slab that is 1200mm long and 455mm wide. It is available in thicknesses of 50mm, 75mm, 85mm, and 100mm.

DriTherm 37 Cavity Slabs have a thermal conductivity of 0.037 W/mK (hence the 37 grade) and are used to insulate the cavities of external masonry walls. They are semi-rigid, which makes them easy to install and provides a close fit with adjacent slabs. The slabs are fitted into place by the brickwork contractor as they build up the masonry cavity walls. This is done by securing the slabs against the internal leave using universal retaining clips and wall ties. Once installed, it repels water away from the internal skin of masonry and provides a good level of thermal insulation.

In addition to excellent thermal performance, Knauf DriTherm 37 insulation slabs also have the following benefits:

• Do not sustain vermin or encourage the growth of bacteria, fungi, or mould.

• Have a vapour resistivity of 5.00MNs/g.m., which means they have negligible resistance to the passage of water.

• Are lightweight and are easy to transport.

DriTherm Cavity Slabs are delivered in a polythene pack for short-term protection. If they need to be stored for a longer period, they should be stored indoors or under cover and off the ground. Cavity slabs should not be exposed to the elements.

Knauf Dritherm 37 comes in the following pack sizes:

50mm Dritherm 37 - 12 slabs = 6.55m2
75mm Dritherm 37 - 8 slabs = 4.37m2
85mm Dritherm 37 - 8 slabs = 4.37m2
100mm Dritherm 37 - 12 slabs = 6.55m2

DriTherm Cavity Slabs are manufactured in accordance with BS EN 13162, EN 16001 Energy Management Systems, OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems, and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, as certified by Bureau Veritas.
