25mm MDPE - Blue Water Pipe 100 metre coils

Also known as 25mm Alkathene pipe, 25mm water pipe and 25mm Potable Water Pipe, MDPE pipe is generally used for the supply of cold water. Resitant to most chemicals, fungi and algae, this lightweight and robust pipe stays firm underground and is a lot safer to use than in days gone by where lead and steel pipes were used for transporting drinking water!

As long as the water has to travel 40 metres or less, 25mm MDPE can be used for the domestic water suppy to properties in most areas of the UK. It is worth double-checking this though with the local authorities in case they have a different criteria.

This product is made from medium density polyethene which can withstand large changes in water pressure and is fully certified and BSI approved (Kitemarked) to BS EN 12201-2:2011 + A1:2013. 12.5 bar is the maximum operating pressure for this pipe.

25mm is the outside diameter of the pipe and it has a wall thickness of 2.3mm. 100mtr coil of pipe measures approximately 950 x 180mm and weighs 14kg.

An underground supply network can be created by using compatible push-fit and compression fittings. Please note, 25mm pipe sleeves/supports must always be used.
