20mm MDPE - Blue Water Pipe 25 metre coils
Also known as 20mm Alkathene pipe, 20mm water pipe and 20mm Potable Water Pipe, MDPE pipe is generally used for the supply of cold water. Resitant to most chemicals, fungi and algae, this lightweight and robust pipe stays firm underground and is a lot safer to use than in days gone by where lead and steel pipes were used for transporting drinking water!
This product is made from medium density polyethene which can withstand large changes in water pressure and is fully certified and BSI approved (Kitemarked) to BS EN 12201-2:2011 + A1:2013. 12.5 bar is the maximum operating pressure for this pipe.
20mm is the outside diameter of the pipe and it has a wall thickness of 2.3mm. 100mtr coil of pipe measures approximately 750 x 100mm and weighs 3.5kg.
An underground supply network can be created by using compatible push-fit and compression fittings. Please note, 20mm pipe sleeves/supports must always be used.
