Acoustic Stud
Metal acoustic studs are the vertical components used to give stability in non-load bearing partitions where improved levels of sound resistance are required.
Acoustic stud benefits from built-in discontinuity which results in improved sound insulation in the key speech frequency bands (250 to 100hz) whilst maintaining structural strength and integrity.
Made from galvanised lightweight steel, they are both easy to carry and fully recyclable.
The complete partitioning system
Partitions built using acoustic stud are constructed exactly in the same way as standard C stud partitions. All existing track sections can be utilised with acoustic slabs. Plasterboard fixing centres are also the same.
Metal Acoustic Stud is one component of the metal partitioning system. It is used in conjunction with Metal ‘U’ Track, 13mm Wafer Head Screws, Insulation and sometimes Plywood. Metal partitioning is quick to install and benefits from exceptional fire resistance and acoustic performance.
