Tapered Edge Plasterboard FAQ:
Why tapered edge plasterboard?
Using a plasterboard with a tapered edge allows for the joints to be taped and filled. Once smoothed and prepared properly, the whole face of the plasterboard can be sealed using a suitable sealer such as Gyproc Drywall Sealer. Once suitably dry, the face of the boards can be directly decorated with paint or wall coverings without the need for expensive wet plaster finish being applied.
